PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the Holy Prophet (pbuh) was sent as the Prophet of Mercy for the whole mankind. His teachings based on love and peace are for the entire humanity. He said that the Mawlid-un-Nabi ﷺ gatherings are important for promotion of the interfaith relations and tolerance in the society. He directed the Minhaj Ulama Council to invite the religious leaders of all schools of thoughts and faiths to the Mawlid-un-Nabi ﷺ Conference to be held at the Minar-e-Pakistan during the intervening night of the 11th and 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri made these remarks while talking to the senior leaders of the Ulama Council at his residence yesterday. He said that one of the lofty objectives behind holding the spiritual gatherings marking the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) is to raise awareness about the reverence and respect for the person of the Prophet (pbuh) because love of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) helps in understanding and implementing his teachings at the personal and collective levels. He said that Mawlid-un-Nabi ﷺ related gatherings inspire the faithful to take part in the best practice of sending the greetings and salutations on the Holy Prophet (pbuh). He said that Islam is a religion of love and peace and the MQI has been enlightening the hearts of the youth with the light of the Propohetic love throughout the world including Pakistan.
