Raja Nasir Abbas calls on Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

Raja Nasir Abbas, the head of MWM, called on Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri at his residence along with his delegation. Speaking on the occasion, Raja Nasir Abbas said that extremism is a great threat to humanity. He said that the religious scholars and intellectuals will foil all attempts at dividing the Muslim community based on sectarianism. He said that we fully support the demand of the establishment of new JIT to probe Model Town tragedy.

PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Nasir Sherazi and Syed Asad Naqvi were also present on the occasion. Raja Nasir Abbas congratulated Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri on the successful conduct of International Mawlid-un-Nabi (pbuh) Conference at Minar-e-Pakistan Lahore.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the Chief Justice of Pakistan has taken notice of our application for the constitution of the JIT on the humanitarian grounds. He said that two hearings have so far been held whereas the larger bench of the SC will consider the legal points of the formation of JIT in a hearing in Islamabad. He said that the blood of the innocent people will not go in vain. He said that we are carrying out the legal struggle as much as we could. He said that it is a great tragedy that despite the manifest nature of the tragedy, the perpetrators continue to remain at large despite passage of over 4 years. He said what to speak of punishing them, no authorized forum has still summoned them to answer to explain their role. He said that we would not budge an inch from our demand of justice in the form of Qisas.

Raja Nasir Abbas was invited to attend the inaugural ceremony of the Quranic Encyclopedia to be held at Aiwan-e-Iqbal on December 3 in Lahore that he happily accepted. Dr Qadri told Raja Nasir Abbas that the Quranic Encyclopedia consists of 5000 subjects and has been published in 8 volumes.
