Muslim Ummah Needs Greater Unity and Solidarity, Say Dr. Muhammad Abdul Rahim Al-Bayoumi and Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Ahmad Maqari
A distinguished international delegation led by Dr. Muhammad Abdul Rahim Al-Bayoumi, Member of Egypt's Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, visited the central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International to learn about the organization's academic, research, educational, missionary, and welfare activities.
The delegation included Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Ahmad Maqari, Imam of the Central National Mosque in Abuja, Nigeria; Pir Syed Lakht-e-Hasnain, Chairman of Muslim Hands International (UK); Dr. Muhammad Naeem Al-Azhari; Pir Zia-un-Noor Shah; Rehan Tariq; Ehsan-ul-Haq Siddiqui; and Khalid Qureshi.
Upon their arrival, the guests were warmly received by Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Secretary General of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, along with senior organizational leaders, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mumtaz-ul-Hasan Barvi, Principal of the College of Shariah and Islamic Sciences, faculty members, and students.
The delegation toured the central secretariat, the Farid-e-Millat Research Institute, Gosha-e-Durood, and various departments, where they received a comprehensive briefing on the organization's scholarly, research, educational, missionary, welfare, and organizational initiatives. The guests were also presented with a collection of scholarly publications authored by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
During his visit to the Farid-e-Millat Research Institute, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Rahim Al-Bayoumi emphasized the need to translate into Arabic the selected scholarly works of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, and Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Governors of Minhaj University Lahore.
He said these valuable academic contributions should be incorporated into the curriculum of Al-Azhar University, enabling students of one of the world's foremost Islamic institutions to benefit from their intellectual depth. He further stressed that the Muslim Ummah today stands in urgent need of greater unity, solidarity, and collective cooperation.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Ahmad Maqari, Imam of the Central National Mosque in Abuja, Nigeria, praised Minhaj-ul-Quran International's scholarly, intellectual, and reformative services, describing them as exemplary. He expressed his desire to see educational and training institutions affiliated with Minhaj-ul-Quran established in Nigeria so that its people could benefit from the organization's educational and reformative mission.
Pir Syed Lakht-e-Hasnain, Chairman of Muslim Hands International (UK), noted that Dar-ul-Uloom Muhammadiyah Ghausia Bhera Sharif and Minhaj-ul-Quran International have enjoyed long-standing academic, spiritual, and fraternal relations that have continued to grow stronger over the years.
The delegation later visited Minhaj University Lahore, where they were welcomed by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sajid Mahmood Shahzad and members of the university administration. The Vice Chancellor briefed the visitors on the university's academic achievements, research initiatives, innovation projects, and international collaborations.
The delegation also toured the Centre for Sufism Studies, the Robotics Library, and several academic departments, expressing keen interest in the university's ongoing scientific research and innovation projects.
At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation highly appreciated the academic, research, and educational contributions of Minhaj-ul-Quran International and Minhaj University Lahore, reaffirming their commitment to promoting mutual cooperation in education, research, and international academic collaboration.
Also present on the occasion were Dr. Muhammad Rafiq Najam, Deputy Secretary General (Organizations); Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mumtaz-ul-Hasan Barvi, Principal of the College of Shariah and Islamic Sciences; Shakeel Ahmad Tahir, Director of Foreign Affairs; Major (Retd.) Salman Jahangir; senior organizational leaders; and faculty members of the College of Shariah and Islamic Sciences and Minhaj University Lahore.
