Participants Announce Their Support and Full Cooperation for the Establishment of a National Common Youth Agenda
A Unified Strategy to Engage Young People in National Development Is the Need of the Hour, Says Rana Waheed Shehzad

Minhaj Youth League, in collaboration with Aghosh Community Club, organized an important consultative meeting at the Central Secretariat, Model Town, Lahore, on the theme of the "National Common Youth Agenda." The event brought together representatives from more than 25 youth organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), educational institutions, and young education professionals from across Pakistan.
The purpose of the meeting was to promote collaboration among youth organizations, establish a unified national youth platform, and develop a shared roadmap for addressing key national priorities affecting young people.
The proceedings commenced with welcome remarks by Muhammad Azam, Vice President of Aghosh Community Club. Welcoming the distinguished guests and participants, he emphasized that strong institutional partnerships and close cooperation are essential to harness the potential of young people for national development and progress. He expressed confidence that the consultative meeting would lay the foundation for a strong and effective national youth network.
Addressing the gathering, Rana Waheed Shehzad, President of Minhaj Youth League, said that since a significant proportion of Pakistan's population consists of young people, their role is pivotal in national development, social stability, and preparing the country's future leadership. He explained that the objective of the National Common Youth Agenda is to bring together youth organizations, educational institutions, and civil society organizations under a shared national vision so that the talents and capabilities of young people can be effectively utilized.
He further stated that the educational, social, and economic challenges confronting young people can only be addressed through collective thinking, institutional collaboration, and a coordinated strategy. He stressed that the time has come for all youth organizations to work together in the national interest by promoting social service, youth welfare, and constructive engagement.
During the meeting, participants held detailed, constructive, and forward-looking discussions on various aspects of the National Common Youth Agenda. Representatives of different organizations presented recommendations on youth participation in public policymaking, volunteerism, social welfare, educational reform, leadership development, environmental sustainability, digital skills, and enhanced institutional collaboration.
The participants emphasized that a common national platform is essential for ensuring effective youth representation, strengthening cooperation among institutions, and facilitating coordinated planning at the national level.
At the conclusion of the meeting, representatives of all participating organizations and institutions unanimously announced their principled support for the establishment of the National Common Youth Agenda. They pledged their full cooperation, sustained engagement, and collective efforts to develop the platform into an active, inclusive, and representative forum for youth.
The participants also agreed to promote stronger partnerships, continuous dialogue, and joint planning to help shape a brighter future for Pakistan, foster the positive development of young people, and contribute to the achievement of the country's national development goals.
