President Minhaj-ul-Quran Lahore Addresses Executive Council Meeting
President of Tehreek Minhaj-ul-Quran Lahore Iqbal Hussain Bajwa has said that the 43rd Annual International Mawlid Conference will be held on the night between 11 and 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal at the lawns of Minar-e-Pakistan. He said that millions of devotees from Lahore are expected to attend the conference.
Preparations and arrangements for the International Mawlid Conference have already begun. Invitation camps are being established across all PP constituencies of Lahore to invite people to participate in the conference. Reception camps will also be set up at the city's entry points to welcome, guide, and facilitate caravans arriving from outside Lahore.
He expressed these views while addressing a meeting of the Executive Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran Lahore.
Iqbal Hussain Bajwa said that the defining identity and distinctive feature of Tehreek Minhaj-ul-Quran is its love and devotion to the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He said that the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet ﷺ will be celebrated with great enthusiasm, devotion, and love. He directed office-bearers and workers to invite every segment of Lahore's population—including business leaders, doctors, engineers, lawyers, and prominent figures from academic and literary circles—to attend the International Mawlid Conference.
He said that love for the Holy Prophet ﷺ is the foundation of faith and the greatest treasure of life. Mawlid gatherings, he added, provide an effective means of expressing love for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and spreading the message of his blessed Seerah.
He further said that torch-lit processions and Rabi-ul-Awwal welcome rallies are being held across Lahore under the banner of “Welcoming Rabi-ul-Awwal.” The torch-lit processions organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran Lahore mark the beginning of the Mawlid Campaign 2026, aimed at spreading the joy of celebrating the birth of the Holy Prophet ﷺ and the message of love for the Messenger ﷺ throughout the city.
Iqbal Hussain Bajwa announced that Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri will deliver a special address at the International Mawlid Conference. Eminent scholars and religious leaders representing different schools of thought, along with prominent social and academic personalities, will also participate. Renowned Quran reciters and Naat reciters will present devotional tributes in praise of the Holy Prophet ﷺ.
The meeting was attended by Shahid Iqbal Yousafi, Haji Muhammad Amjad Qadri, Haji Muhammad Hanif Qadri, Haji Khalid Mahmood, Mumtaz Khan Kachhi, Haji Munir Ahmad, Allama Ahsan Owais Mustafa, Captain (R) Abdul Majeed, Ashraf Bhatti, Moeen Ahmad Siddiqui, Muhammad Mumtaz Hussain, Muhammad Rehan Chaudhry, and other office-bearers.
Nazim Lahore Nazim Ali Rehmat said that promoting love for the Holy Prophet ﷺ is a fundamental part of Minhaj-ul-Quran's mission. He noted that the tradition of holding the International Mawlid Conference at Minar-e-Pakistan has now entered its 43rd year. This year, too, the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet ﷺ will be celebrated on a grand scale.
He added that workers are making round-the-clock efforts for the preparations, public outreach, and organizational arrangements for the conference.
