Trucks carrying relief supplies handed over to the National Disaster Management Authority: Brig. (R) Umar Hayat
Humanitarian assistance will continue until the affected families are fully rehabilitated: Director Operations

Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF) has handed over a consignment of food items, clothing and other essential supplies to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) for flood-affected families in Nepal.
The relief supplies were handed over by officials of Minhaj Welfare Foundation led by its Director Operations, Brig. (R) Umar Hayat. Speaking on the occasion, Brig. (R) Umar Hayat said that the people of Nepal had faced a devastating flood disaster and were given little opportunity to recover, resulting in a major humanitarian crisis.
He said that as soon as reports of the disaster emerged on social media, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, Founder and Patron-in-Chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran, directed that every possible measure be taken to assist the affected people. In accordance with his instructions, Minhaj Welfare Foundation immediately initiated relief efforts, and, Alhamdulillah, it has now been able to hand over the first consignment of relief supplies to the National Disaster Management Authority.
Brig. (R) Umar Hayat said that the relief campaign would continue in collaboration with philanthropists until the affected families are fully rehabilitated. “We will continue extending assistance to the flood victims on the basis of our shared bond of humanity until their complete rehabilitation,” he added.
