Chairman Supreme Council Minhaj-ul-Quran International Prof. Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has said that every Muslim must learn and understand the Quran and connect its teachings with practical life. He said knowledge develops awareness, while strong character gives rise to leadership.

He said knowledge is a light that leads a person out of ignorance and misguidance towards awareness, insight and guidance. “The first message of the Holy Quran is Iqra (Read),” he said, adding that Knowledge Centres are a practical expression of this Quranic mission and the Prophetic call. Wherever knowledge flourishes, awareness and character develop, and strong character ultimately produces capable leadership.

Dr Hassan Qadri said the Knowledge Centres initiative launched by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri represents the spirit of Minhaj-ul-Quran and provides the foundation for intellectual awakening. He urged workers to make their personal conduct, ethics and character a reflection of the Movement and to discharge their responsibilities with sincerity and steadfastness.

He was addressing a meeting of divisional and district leaders of Minhaj-ul-Quran Central Punjab at the Central Secretariat in Model Town, Lahore. Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Deputy Secretary General Allama Rana Muhammad Idrees Qadri, Allama Muhammad Minhaj-ud-Din Qadri, Dr Muhammad Rafiq Najm, Mian Anasr, and other central, provincial, divisional and district office-bearers attended the meeting.

Prof. Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said the foundation of the Prophetic Movement rests on a strong organizational network, an effective intellectual and training system, Knowledge Centres, membership development, and a well-organized system of Quranic study circles. He stressed the need to effectively take the message of religious outreach and training down to the unit and union-council levels.

He directed that the network of Quranic study circles and Knowledge Centres be expanded, the process of building organizational affiliations be accelerated, and intellectual and training activities for young people be made more effective.

Congratulating the Central Punjab organizations on the successful holding of Seerah conferences, he said their religious and organizational impact should be taken to the grassroots level. He called for further strengthening the organizational network at the unit and union-council levels so that the message and benefits of these conferences could reach a wider section of society.
