Ms. Jahan Ara Wattoo, former advisor to SAARC and renowned social activist visited Orphan Care Home (Aghosh) and Minhaj University Lahore (MUL). She paid rich tributes to Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri for setting up an institution for the education, upbringing, and training of the orphan children and said that providing education to orphan children is a great service to society.
The father of Shahbaz Mustafavi, who was martyred in Model Town massacre, called on Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri at his residence. Tayyab Zia, organizational coordinator, was also present on the occasion. Dr Hassan expressed his condolences and sympathies on the death of the mother of Shahbaz Shaheed and prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace.
MQI Gujranwala chapter held a Quran Conference on April 25 in which the Quranic Encyclopedia compiled by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri was inaugurated. Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri attended the Conference on special invitation and delivered his keynote speech. The central leaders of MQI who participated in the ceremony included Mazhar Mahmood Alvi, Irfan Yousaf, local religious scholars Sahibzada Maqsood Ahmad Kayani, Allama Sahibzada Umair Ahmad Farooqi, Allama Farhan Ahmad Sanai.
MQI Sanglahill chapter organized Milad ceremony on April 22, 2019. Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri was invited to the programme on special invitation and delivered his speech. Sayyid Musharraf Ali Shah, Raja Zahid Mahmood, Qazi Faiz-ul-Islam and other central leaders were present on the occasion. The members of Minhaj Naat Council had the honour to recite Naat. A large number of the people of the area attended the programme.
Addressing the spiritual gathering, Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the Holy Prophet (SAW) stated that when the 15th of Sha'ban comes, the believers should pray at night, fast during the day, because with the sunset, Allah Almighty pays His attention to the world and asks as to who is out there looking for His forgiveness, sustenance and comfort during the ailment and this continues till the dawn.
PAT leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the oppressive system has made the workers who protested against the killing of 14 innocent citizens in Model Town the prisoners. He said that he is grieved on the sentences given to 107 PAT workers on the charge of vandalism. He said that the workers should not consider themselves alone, stating that we will go to the higher courts to get these sentences reversed.

Addressing the concluding session of the OIC in Riyadh earlier today, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the head of MQI, has said that conservatism leads to extremism which then generates terrorism. He said that this human tragedy does not take place overnight. Rather it has dynamic variables, stating that purposeful educational system is of fundamental importance in fighting this scourge in a comprehensive manner.
Talking to media persons in Riyadh, MQI leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that he has come to Saudi Arabia to attend the OIC meeting on the invitation of the Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) where he will deliver his speech. He said that terrorism and extremism are sore points for the Muslim world and the fact that the OIC is taking up these issues for collective deliberation augurs well.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is leaving for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, today to attend the OIC meeting. He will deliver a speech on counter-terrorism and present recommendations for the eradication of extremism. The OIC has extended a special invitation to Dr Qadri to participate in its meeting. A special session has been arranged for his speech as well as questions and answers.
MQI leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri reached Riyadh airport on the morning of April 7 where the OIC official received him warmly. He is being accompanied by Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri during the visit. Dr Qadri has gone to Saudi Arabia on the special invitation of the OIC to attend its meeting set to take place on April 09-10 where he will deliver his special address on the topic of counterterrorism besides participating in Q&A session.
Addressing the meeting of the PAT Federal Council, Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the biggest hurdle in the way of justice in the Model Town case is that the killers are very powerful and wealthy. He said that after a hectic struggle over the last five years, the case continues to stand where it was on the day of its perpetration i.e. June 17, 2014. He said that whenever any development takes place, some hindrance crops up to thwart it, stating that the current system favors the powerful and oppressors instead of the oppressed and the weak.
