A delegation of senior lawyers led by Lehrasib Gondal Advocate visited Itikaf City and called on Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri. Talking to the lawyers, he said that the courts and lawyers have a key role to play in the provision of justice. He asked the legal fraternity to not back away from the mission of providing legal aid to the poor and the oppressed. He said that Allah Almighty likes just rulers and those who dispense justice fairly and honestly.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the help of the orphan, the poor and the oppressed is the best form of worship. He said that political, social, economic and welfare teachings of Islam are for the betterment of society and citizens. He said that the system of Zakat and donations is a beautiful reflection of Islam's welfare model.
Mrs. Fizzah Hussain Qadri addressed Sayyida Ayesha (RA) Conference at women itikaf-gah today. While addressing the session with mutakifa'at she shared some unique and rare aspects from the life of Sayyida Ayesha (RA). She mentioned that Sayyida Ayesha (RA) belonged to a fully devoted family who was amongst the first to embrace Islam and this pious lineage elevates her status from the rest in a very special manner.
In a session with student mutakifa'at of MSM Sisters, Dr. Ghazala Qadri delivered a talk on the topic "Youth, Repentance and Consistence" The session was attended by around 400 students who came from around 37 cities and 100+ institutes of Pakistan. Dr. Ghazala appreciated the students who joined itikaf city in such a great number and extended prayers that may these days of seclusion become a source to attain love and nearness of Almighty Allah.
President MQI Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri addressed a second session of "journeyers of spiritualism". In his talk on the occasion, he said that we have to come back to our Lord in Itikaf City. We have to make pledges with Him that we will not let Satan lead us astray and sow the seeds of confusion and doubts in our hearts. We have to vow to stay the course after finding direction, for we have deviated from the straight path under the worldly glare.
Addressing thousands of the faithful at Itikaf City on the second day, MQI founding-leader and patron-in-chief Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the Mutakifeen should focus on their internal purification more than their outer appearance. The people see what is visible to them whereas Allah Almighty sees the inside of our being. He said that we make conscious efforts to beautify ourselves for the world, stating what we should in fact be paying serious attention to is the internal beauty, reform and purification of the heart.
Nine training circles have been set up under the supervision of MWL scholars to impart education and spiritual training to the female residents of Itikaf City. Hundreds of women joined the City, a place for reflection, introspection and shedding of tears on the evening of the 20th of Ramadan. The purpose of these circles is to educate women about their rights, rights of the people, and the importance of pious company and to encourage them to play a more meaningful role in the development of society.
Minhaj Welfare Foundation arranged a ceremony for the distribution of ration among the deserving families during the holy month of Ramazan. Secretary General MQI Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, country director MWF Syed Amjad Ali Shah, Khurram Shahzad, Shahbaz Tahir and others were present on the occasion. Hundreds of people got ration packets on the occasion.
Dr. Ghazala Qadri, President MWL International, held a meeting with the core team of MWL Pakistan. She was given a briefing about the Itikaf plan 2022 by Ms. Sidra Karamat, General Secretary MWL. While appreciating the efforts, Dr Ghazala Qadri said that these days of seclusion are a means to attain Divine proximity in the blessed month of Ramadan. She said that we should use this golden opportunity for self-purification which comes once in a year.
MWL team held an online meeting with the President MWL North America Dr. Maya Naz in recognition of her support for two major projects of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League. Pakistan. Vice President MQI Brig (Retd.) Iqbal Ahmed Khan also joined the meeting and was extremely appreciative of her support for the dawah projects. In his brief remarks on the occasion, Brig. (r ) Iqbal Ahmd Khan said that "Spending in the way of Allah Almighty is that great act which brings benefit in this world and the hereafter".
Mrs. Fizzah Hussain Qadri presided over the second session of Itikaf planning 2022 and was given briefing on the Eagers Itikaf to be held exclusively for kids. She said that "providing spiritual atmosphere to kids at such a young age would shape and strengthen their character in the life ahead". Team Eagers presented a detailed plan of the spiritual seclusion (Itikaf) for kids and the activities they have planned. Mrs. Fizzah Qadri gave suggestions to enhance the spiritual uplifting and ethical training of kids during these special days.
An important meeting of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League was held at the central secretariat in Model town in which consultation was held regarding the preparations, registration, and arrangements of Itikaf City, the second largest gathering after the one held at the Two Holy Mosques. A large number of women is set to join the City during the last ten days of Ramadan. Forty administrative committees consisting of 400 women have been established to make arrangements for Itikaf of women.
Department of Training of Minhaj College for Women arranged a four-day spiritual, intellectual and scholarly sessions in connection with the holy month of Ramadan. President MWL Dr Farah Naz gave a talk in one of such sessions on the topic of "let us make our fasting beautiful with a beautiful heart. In her chat with the students, Dr Farah Naz said that the heart is the center of our whole being. She said that the pivot of all forms of worship is the purification of heart.
Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has reached Pakistan after completion of his organizational tour of the UK and Europe. On return, he met with the heads of various departments and office-holders of MQI's forums at the central secretariat. Brig. (r) Iqbal Ahmad Khan, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, directors, and office-bearers of various departments attended the meeting.
The lectures on the Holy Quran continue to be delivered across the country after every Fajr prayer in this holy month of Ramadan under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. The scholars associated with the Dawah and Training Directorate of MQI are delivering these lectures daily on various topics. Thousands of men and women are greatly benefiting from these lessons and further embellishing their lives with spirituality and blessings in the holy month.
