A two-day International ‘Rahmatun-lil-Alameen’ Conference was held in Islamabad under the banner of the Government of Pakistan. Prime Minister Imran Khan was the chief guest who delivered the concluding speech on the first day of the Conference. The event was attended by the Federal Ministers, Members of Parliament, top government functionaries, researchers, religious scholars and intellectuals and a large number of the people from different walks of life.
Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri represented the MQI and delivered his speech. He appreciated the government’s initiative of celebrating Mawlid-un-Nabi (peace and blessings be upon him) at the official level and holding ‘Rahmatun-lil-Alameen’ Conference that brought together scholars and experts from different countries. He said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) established Madina as an ideal state of Islam and revolutionized every aspect of human life. He said that a society that is riven by racial, linguistic and class divides cannot progress. He said that the holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) brought about social revolution in the state of Madina and did away all discriminations and described piety as the sole criterion among the faithful.
Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that in the same way, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) brought about economic revolution in the Madina state and provided economic stability to the state. So much so when the State called out to Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (RA), he donated all of his belongings and possessions. He said that this revolution did not stop here. Rather the residents of Madina state made their co-religionists the shareholders in their belongings, thereby setting a marvelous example of sacrifice and human brotherhood. He said that it is one aspect of the revolution that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) brought about.
The President of the MQI said that third revolution that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) brought about in Madina was political. He said that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave the first written Constitution to the humanity in the form of Madina Pact. He said that the concept of One Nation emerged from the Madina state. He said that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made the state of Madina the hub of peace and described it as an ideal state for the Muslims.
