A three-member delegation of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League called on the Vice Chancellor of Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) Dr Farkhanda Manzoor and gifted her 8-volume historic Quranic Encyclopedia for the library of the University. The MWL delegation consisted of Ms. Ayesha Mubashar, General Secretary of MWL Punjab, Zainab Arshad, President of MSM-Sisters, and Javeria Waheed, head of research society students wing. Director Students Affairs LCWU Bushra Nadeem was also present during the meeting.
Dr Farkhanda Manzoor thanked the office holders of MWL for the gift of the Quranic Encyclopedia. She also congratulated Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri on the compilation of such an outstanding scholarly work in the form of the Encyclopedia, stating that it is a great service to Islam, Pakistan and humanity. She said that he who reads the Holy Quran can never go astray. He said that the Quranic Encyclopedia will help facilitate the understanding of the Quran. She said that scholarly, reformative and revivalist efforts of Dr Qadri are praiseworthy, adding that he has done tremendous work in various fields to promote the cause of Pakistan and Islam. She said that the books authored by Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri are hugely helpful in understanding Islam in the contemporary age.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Ayesha Mubashar said that the Quranic Encyclopedia consists of 5000 topics in eight volumes. She said that the Holy Quran is a detailed knowledge and with the aid of the Encyclopedia, it will become easier for the people of varying intellectual capacities to understand the Quran.
The delegates told the VC of the Lahore College for Women University that the hundreds of books authored by Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri and thousands of the speeches delivered by him constitute a great treasure of knowledge which will continue to benefit the seekers of knowledge for centuries. They invited the VC to visit the Minhaj University Lahore campus and the welfare initiatives of MQI that she accepted.
