Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri dubs piety as the basis of spiritualism

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri drew on Imam Ghazali's famous book to continue his lecture on spiritualism in the fourth session of Itikaf being held under the banner of MQI. He described the meaning of piety by referring to a famous book of Sayyiduna Ghaus-ul-Azam Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jillani. Deriving the definition of piety from a sage Al-Qasim bin Al-Qasim, Huzoor Ghaus-ul-Azam said that complying with commands of Shariah and protecting its sanctity is piety. He said that spiritualism and saintliness are the product of piety, adding that there could be no spiritualism if there is no piety.

Shaykh-ul-Islam said that by remembering the old times, we try to enrich and enlighten our lives with the shiny examples of spiritualism. He said that MQI's philosophy is to connect people with their glorious traditions. He said that through his lectures and practical work, he is working for the betterment of the succeeding generations.

Mehfil-e-Naat followed the speech of Shaykh-ul-Islam. The fourth session of Itikaf City came to an end with Dua of Mufti Abdul Qayyum Khan Hazarvi.
