Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri grieved over the loss of lives in earthquake

MQI leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has expressed his deep sense of grief and sorrow on human and material loss as a result of an earthquake that hit parts of the country particularly Azad Kashmir. He prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed souls in peace and grant quick recovery to the injured.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri directed Minhaj Welfare Foundation to immediately start relief operations. He also appreciated the armed forces of Pakistan for their quick response in the wake of the earthquake. 'The workers and leaders of Welfare Foundation, Youth League and MSM should look after the injured and donate blood to the needy', he said.

Dr Qadri said the effects of the massive earthquake of 2005 had not been fully overcome that the people of Azad Kashmir have been exposed to a new challenge. He asked the government to leave no unturned in the rescue, relief, and rehabilitation efforts. He said the whole country stands by the affected people. He expressed his condolences to the bereaved families who lost their near and dear ones in the earthquake.
