Mirpur: MWF donates medicines for those injured in earthquake

Kashmir Earthquake 2019: MWF Relief Efforts

The leaders of MQI Mirpur chapter donated medicines to District Headquarters Hospital on the instructions of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. These medicines are for the poor patients who were injured in the earthquake that struck AJK and parts of the country last week. Dr Farooq Noor, who is medical superintendent of the DHQ, received the medicines.

Zafar Iqbal Tahir, Prof Muhammad Arshad Siddique, Syed Arshad Bukhari, Muhammad Ilyas Malangi, Maqsood Mughal, and Sardar Shahzad were present on the occasion. A delegation of the senior MQI leaders consisting of Syed Amjad Ali Shah and Noorullah Siddiqui had visited the earthquake affected areas two days ago to assess the situation on the ground. On their report, MQI leader approved the relief package.

In addition to provision of medicines, other relief and rehabilitation activities have also been planned for the flood affected areas. MWF Director Syed Amjad Ali Shah will visit the affected villages of Mirpur along with a huge package.

PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur has said that service to suffering humanity is an important mission of MWF. He said that the Foundation has been at the forefront of relief and rehabilitation efforts wherever natural calamities struck. He said that we would try our level best to reduce the sufferings and hardships of the earthquake affected families.
