Children belonging to Eagers, a forum of MWL for their moral and spiritual training, took out a rally to welcome the advent of the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. Children up to the age of 10 wore fancy dresses and were chanting slogans. They were also holding placards with the prophetic traditions written on them. The rally started from the residence of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri and concluded at the central secretariat after passing through various streets where arrangements for the Milad feast had been made.
Speaking on the occasion, the children said the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had immense love for them. He (ﷺ) would neither scold nor allow anyone to scold them. His love for the children is also manifest from the fact that he (ﷺ) would prolong his prostration when Hazrat Imam Hasan (A.S) and Hazrat Imam Husayn (A.S) would sit on his shoulders during the state of prayer. He (ﷺ) had special love and affection for the orphan children and gave special instructions to his companions to show utmost kindness and love to the orphans.
In her views on the occasion, MWL president Ms. Farah Naz said that the purpose of organizing the rally is to introduce the children to the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from an early age. Director Eagers Aimen Yousaf, and deputy director Umme Kalsoom also attended the children’s rally.
Ms. Aimen Yousaf said that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was born in the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal and it is important that the children are made aware of the importance of this month. MWL leaders, Ms. Farah Naz, Sidra Karmat, Ayesha Mubasher and others received the rally on their arrival at the central secretariat. The office holders of MSM Children Forum were also present on the occasion. A cake was also cut by the Children Forum and MWL leaders distributed gifts among the children.
