Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League bids farewell to year 2019 in full spirits. This has been a wonderful year filled with activities and field visits of our central and field designates in every town and city across the country. Every day has been a step forward in this great journey of spreading the Mustafavi mission in the guidance of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
This year encapsulates a series of events, day to day activities and month long campaigns with the purpose of educating our women, empowering them with knowledge, emphasizing on their moral and spiritual conducts and making their lives more purposeful. Minhaj Women League has planned this outgoing year with keen planning and implementation strategies with the idea of promoting peace in society and to introduce the true meaning and message of Islam to women of all ages and area of interest.
Dawah department of Minhaj Women League has launched month long campaigns and introduced new trends in society by giving them plans to celebrate and spend the months with special arrangements. It launched month long Ramadan, Muharram plan and a 50 days Rabi-ul-Awal plan which included planning to spend these holy months in spiritual and religious fervor. The Head Anila Ilyas and her entire team has been executing and planning this whole years under Dawah department while is indeed worth appreciating.
The WOICE department of Minhaj Women League has launched Hunar Ghar in Islamabad, Kahna and Rawalpindi this year and did excellent efforts to empower the women through skill development programs. It also launched Food Drive activities particularly in the month of Ramadan through which it fed thousands of needy and deserving people. The Director WOICE Sana Waheed and her team has been working relentlessly to practically demonstrate the vision of women empowerment in society.
EAGERS department has spent this beautiful year with wonderful kids and has spread across the globe with their unique idea through which it focuses on the character building of kids and inculcate in them the discipline to live and induced religious affiliations into their life routines. EAGERS launched Sunday Schools through which it engaged with thousands of kids at weekly bases and moral lessons taught in these schools have been a beautiful idea. It also oragnized Annual Itikaf for kids where hundreds of kids gathered in pursuit of seeking nearness to Allah Almighty. It then launched plan for the months of Muharram, Ramadan and Rabi-ul-Awal through which more than 15,000 kids became part of EAGERS activities. Aimen Yousaf, Director Eagers and whole of her team under the supervision of Kulsoom Qamar worked day and night to help achieve their goals throughout the year.
MSM Sisters, the students body of Minhaj Women League, has engaged with thousands of students round the year and planned activities for the students to spend the whole year in holy spirits. It launched "Danish Kadaa" project which is premised on the idea of intellectual discussions among students at college and university level. It also planned holy months of Ramadan, Muharram and Rabi-ul-Awal. Outgoing President MSM Sisters Zainab Arshad and Iqra Yousaf Jami who later joined as the President along with their four Society Presidents sister Jamila, Asra, Sidra and Amina did great efforts to work on the religious, socio-welfare and research based activities for the students.
Irfan-ul-Hidayah department of Women League spent this beautiful year while working to promote Quran knowledge to young Quran scholars. It launched Quran Classes all across Pakistan and published rich literature for the Quran scholars. Mainly the major contribution was the launch of Irfan-ul-Hidayah curriculum. It did launch plans for the months of Ramadan, Muharram and Rabi-ul-Awal and did various events in an effort to promote and reconnect young females with the Quran. Director Kulsoom Tufail and her whole team has been putting great efforts in this wonderful service round the year.
Dukhtaran-e-Islam magazine of published 12 editions, each with a special theme, in the year 2019. It published multiple special editions and catered to the writings of young female writers. Its writers panel added number of PhDs and became an important tool to educate women. Its editor Habiba Ismail and sub-editor sister Nazia and whole of its advisory and writers panel are the force behind their remarkable journey this year.
All this work has been presented to you through our Social Media department led by Shakira Chaudhary and her team Safia Riffat and Khushu Zahra which later proceeded with a new team including Haleema Arif and Khadija Batool. This department has presented day to day working of Women League and its departments efficiently.
All the working this year has been implemented across Pakistan through Zone wise division of areas and each Zone has been supervised by a Zonal Head:
- KPK and Balochistan zone was headed by Umme Habiba who brilliantly motivated the women in the remote areas of KPK and Balochistan and visited areas all across these provinces.
- Kashmir Zone was supervised by Azra Akbar who through multiple visits and continued meetings with the sisters in Kashmir developed working bodies of our women league's sisters which are working wonderfully to spread the message of this Mustafavi Mission across Kashmir zone.
- Ayesha Mubashir, Zonal Head Central Punjab hasn't taken a day off and has worked tireelessly to implement the plannings of women league across the central punjab region.
- Zonal Head North Punjab Irshad Iqbal has achieved great successes by working day and night and by visiting cities in towns across her zone she included scores of women to our network.
- Karachi Zone led by Fouzia Junaid and sister Sana Hafeez has made Karachi a leading city who remained active throughout and has done great effort in every domain.
- Lahore Zone was headed by Amina Batool and Noreen Alvi and whole of their team collectively achieved wonderful results of their working this year.
- Sindh region was supervised by Nasreen Akhtar who visited remote and backward areas of Sindh and motivated the women by channelizing them in our network.
- South Punjab which is considered relatively less empowered became an active ground of promoting the message of Islam because of our great sisters Memona Shifaat and Adeeba Shehzadi who were the main reasons why it went so successful.
Our mentors and our leaders, Dr. Ghazala Hassan Qadri and Mrs. Fizzah Hussain Qadri has given their time in supervising and guiding our each step. The Organizational Training Camp of 2019 with Dr. Ghazala was greatly useful for our field designates and had introduced them to new horizons of wisdom and guiding tools for their field working. Mrs. Fizzah's guidance round the year and especially during the days of Itikaf had been a motivating factor. We are grateful to our worthy leaders for their time and energies with which they guided us throughout.
This whole year which was spent and planned so well would not have been possible if everything wasn't in check and supervised by our humble and wonderful President of Minhaj Women League Pakistan Farah Naz who kept guiding the whole team with her experience. The working and the efficiency check of its execution was steered by our dedicated, efficient and talented Nazima Sidra Karamat who spent days and nights in serving this beautiful mission with all her capacities.
Our humble sister Seema managed the office responsibilities with much needed attention and her multitasking was helpful.
This is just a quick snapshot of the whole year but the moments and efforts of our field designates, workers and affiliates are beyond verbal appreciations. We are hopeful that the upcoming year 2020 will be more productive in sense of prompting values of Islam to an even wider audience Insha'Allah.
