Under the banner of Minhaj University Lahore, food was distributed among hundreds of deserving people and labourers who have been rendered jobless due to the ongoing lockdown. Irfan Nawaz Memon, Director General Punjab Food Authority and Dr Sajid Mahmood Shahzad, Vice-Chancellor of Minhaj University Lahore distributed the food among the people.
The lecturers and professors of Minhaj University Lahore arranged the food on self help basis. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sajid Shahzad said that Coronavirus has become an epidemic in Pakistan and it has adversely affected the daily routine of life not only in our country but also across the world. He said it is our moral and religious responsibility to help the people in acute need.
The vice-chancellor of MUL said that under the special directions of Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Deputy Chairman BoG, food is being distributed among the deserving by MUL, Minhaj Education Society and Orphan Care Home. He said that the educational institutions associated with MQI will leave no stone unturned to help the suffering humanity at this difficult hour. He said that people belonging to all walks of life must become active and support our brothers and sisters in distress. He prayed to Allah Almighty to rid us of this epidemic and help us restore the suspended routine of life as early as possible.
