The 40-day online lecture series of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri came to an end on June 7. More than 27 thousand people from Pakistan and abroad registered themselves to listen to the online lectures on Sahih al-Bukhari who were given certificates signed by Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri on the conclusion of the series. Those who listened to the scholarly lectures included religious scholars, teachers, students and people belonging to various walks of life.
It is pertinent to mention here that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri started the lecture series to productively use the available time in the wake of the lockdown and the Corona pandemic, which concluded on June 7. On the concluding day of the series, Dr Qadri advised the youth to let go of bad company and meaningless friendships and reconnect themselves with the books. He said the good company is a source of so many positive things, whereas the bad company is degenerative. He said the impact left by the kind of company one keeps is long-lasting.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri stated that the youths are the future of Pakistan and the Muslim world. He said their character building and education should be foremost responsibility of every religious scholar, preacher, and parents. He said the real benefit of the lectures will accrue only when one acts upon the teachings of Islam and moulds one's life accordingly. He said merely listening is not enough. The important thing is that knowledge gained from lectures and scholarly sittings is translated into our individual and collective lives.
