President Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has said that the teachings of the Sufis impart the lesson of love. He said these teachings should be adopted in life to attain peace both within and without. He said we have ignored the Sufis with little attention paid to their teachings and sayings and it is the reason why we continue to be confused and misguided.
Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said Qudwat-ul-Awliya’ Sayyiduna Tahir Ala-ud-Din al-Qadri al-Gillani reformed humanity and offered guidance to them in line with the teachings of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He said the teachings of Sufis are critical to the establishment of the order of peace and human welfare. He said that these teachings are the essence of Islam. He said the worldwide efforts made by Qudwat-ul-Awliya’ Sayyiduna Tahir Ala-ud-Din al-Qadri al-Gillani for the revival of Islam changed the lives of hundreds of thousands of people and made them true servants of Islam. He said the MQI is spreading the light of knowledge and enlightenment in the light of the message and teachings of Sayyiduna Tahir Ala-ud-Din al-Qadri al-Gillani.
Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri made these remarks while addressing a prayer ceremony organized by Bazm-e-Qadria to observe the 29th death anniversary of Sayyiduna Tahir Ala-ud-Din al-Qadri al-Gillani at the central secretariat. He said Muslim Umma and the whole world needs the culture of tolerance and mutual respect. He said when positive attitudes spread in society, it will lead to peace and contentment. He said the Sufis have imparted the education of patience and service to humanity without any discrimination of caste, creed, and colour.
MQI Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur and Allama Rana Muhammad Idrees also addressed the prayer ceremony. Internationally renowned Naat khawan Al-Haaj Akhtar Hussain Qureshi paid tributes to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Director of Public Relations MQI Shahzad Rasool Qadri conducted the proceedings of the ceremony. It was attended by Noorullah Siddiqui, Jawad Hamid, Hafiz Abid Bashir, Haji Manzoor Hussain, Arif Chaudhry, Mazhar Alvi, Haji Muhammad Ishaq, Irfan Yousaf, Allama Ghulam Murtaza Alvi, Shamim Numbardar, Sheikh Aftab, and Saeed Akhtar among others.
