Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri delivered an online speech to the senior management and administration of Orphan Care Home (Aghosh) on July 8, 2020. Performance reports of Aghosh, and Tehfeez-ul-Quran were presented in the meeting. Those who attended the virtual meeting included Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, chairman Aghosh Complex, Dr Sajid Mahmood Shahzad, managing director Aghosh Complex, Imran Zafar Butt, Principal Aghosh Grammar School & MCMT, Muhammad Abbas Naqshbandi, principal Minhaj Institute of Qira’at & Tehfeez-ul-Quran, madam Romana Mubashir, vice-principal Aghosh Grammar School & MCMT, Tahir Mahmood, accountant Aghosh, and Capt. (r ) Muhammad Ramzan, director Administration.
MD Aghosh Complex thanked Shaykh-ul-Islam for sparing time for the online meeting. Col. (r ) Mubashir Iqbal presented a detailed performance report of Aghosh. He told that 600 children are getting an education at different levels in the Aghosh Orphan Care Home. Abbas Naqshbandi threw light on the performance of Tehfeez-ul-Quran Institute. He has been serving as Principal of the College since 2012.
In the report on Aghosh, Col. (r ) Mubahsar Iqbal said the first batch of the children joined it in 2005. He said the majority of them have completed their Master's and bachelor degrees and are serving in different fields. He said the credit for this success goes to Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri whose compassionate thinking led to the establishment of various projects of public welfare including Aghosh that are serving the suffering humanity in their hour of need.
Director Aghosh Complex further told that the Aghosh academy was set up in 2015 that has produced excellent results. He said the students have shown a great performance in academics. He mentioned the names of Fawad Akbar, Mubashir Iqbal Saeedi, Azam Mustafa, Muhammad Umair, and Sardar Hameed in particular. He said that an effective mechanism for physical, moral, and spiritual development of the children has been put in place in order to prepare students for the challenges of practical life.
Madam Romana Mubashir, vice-principal of Aghosh Grammar School & MCMT also presented a report of the school.
Expressing his satisfaction on the reports of both the institutions, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri congratulated their administrations and staff for going beyond the call of duty. He appreciated the efforts of all concerned and advised the administration of Tehfeez-ul-Quran College to particularly focus on the improvement of the Arabic language and pronunciation of the students. He further directed that the publicity and social media campaign of Aghosh and Tehfeez-ul-Quran College should be undertaken in this age of media.
Dr Qadri lauded the role of both the institutions and said that they are doing a wonderful job. He said the visits of the donors and affluent people to these projects of public welfare should be arranged so that they could see the work being done on the ground for the welfare of vulnerable sections of society.
