Hajj symbolizes unity & oneness of Muslims: Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) leader Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has congratulated the Muslim world on the auspicious occasion of Hajj. He said that pilgrimage is one of the great pillars of Islam and a symbol of the unity of the faithful. He said the practices performed as part of pilgrimage teach us equality, tolerance, moderation and peace. He said Hajj and sacrifice remind us of the great sacrifices of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS). He said only a limited number of people could get the opportunity to perform Hajj this year due to the situation arising out of Covid-19. He prayed to Allah Almighty to rid the world of the worst pandemic to have hit humanity.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri further said the sermon delivered by the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the 9th Zilhajj is the essence of our faith. He said if we act upon the spiritual and moral teachings of our beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he prescribed during the Hajj for Muslims till the Day of Judgment, we will be successful not only in this world but also in the hereafter. He said the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave a charter of civilized human conduct and forbade Muslims to harm others, and enroach upon their rights. He taught us to respect women, stay away from usury, and protect the life, dignity and honour of others. He said every word of his (peace and blessings be upon him) Hajj sermon is manifesto for humanity.
