A Milad Conference was held at Bagh-i-Jinnah under the banner of MQI Karachi. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri attended the event via video link and delivered his address. Those who were present at the stage were Secretary General MQI Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, President PAT Qazi Zahid Hussain and the leaders of MQI Karachi chapter.
Among the distinguished participants included Dr Farooq Sattar, Allama Pir Syed Shah Hussain Gardezi, Agha Baqir Abbas Zaidi, Dr Amir Abdullah Muhammadi as well as Mashaykh, religious scholars belonging to various schools of thought, and social and political personalities. A large number of women were also in attendance. The representatives of different religions and faiths also attended the Conference.
Addressing the Conference, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that Mawlid-un-Nabi (pbuh) is the source of happiness and love for the whole of humanity. He said Allah Almighty sent His beloved Prophet (pbuh) as the Prophet of mercy for all the worlds. He said that prophetic love and mercy transcends all times and boundaries and envelopes the whole universe.
Dr Qadri said that it is the responsibility of all of us to spread the message of Milad. He said there is a need to adopt mutual tolerance, respect, and peaceful conduct in our attitudes. He said we can start off by changing our behaviors and conduct in order to rid ourselves of the negativity and biases. He said we need to become productive and the source of good for all and it is precisely the message of the blessed day of Milad.
Dr Farooq Sattar, Allama Pir Syed Shah Hussain Gardezi, Agha Baqir Abbas Zaidi, Dr Amir Abdullah Muhammadi and Khurram Nawaz Gandapur also spoke on the occasion. The program came to an end with the recitation of Durood-o-Salam and Dua for the peace and progress of the country.
