MQI's founding leader and patron-in-chief Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has congratulated the nation on the 74th Independence Day of the country. In his special message on the occasion, he said that Pakistan is home to 220 million people. He said that the Quaid-i-Azam led a freedom struggle for the protection of the rights of the poor and less privileged sections of society and rule of law.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the Quaid-i-Azam gave a panacea for the peace, progress, and solidarity of the country that we have ignored at our own peril. He stated that the Holy Quran is the comprehensive code of life for Muslims that provides guidance to them in all walks of life. He said that Pakistan's founder had explored the secret of the universal thoughts and teachings of the Holy Quran, adding that it is for this reason that when he was asked about Pakistan's system of politics and economy, he was quick to say that the Quran would be the basis of life in the new country, for its teachings and guidance are eternal.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the Holy Quran is not confined to various forms of worship such as prayer, fasting, pilgrimage, etc., rather it is the Book of Wisdom and provides comprehensive instruction and guidance to the seekers of truth in the realm of governance, politics, state, rights of the minorities, women and the elderly, and interfaith harmony. He said that Pakistan came into being on the blessed night of the 27th of Ramadan and it is the same night when the Holy Quran was revealed. He said that the Muslim Umma can overcome all kinds of crises by restoring and strengthening its bond with the Holy Quran.
