Addressing a Mawlid-un-Nabi (pbuh) Conference held under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) Canada, Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani al-Qadri, the grandson of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, has said that Allah Almighty endows high ranks, superiority and greatness on his prophets. He said that there are four meanings of the word 'Nabi' and these four meanings represent the grace and higher station of the prophets. No doubt Allah bestowed these four attributes on every prophet but combined all of them in the person of the Holy Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him and his family).
Throwing light on various meanings and iterations of the word 'prophethood', Shaykh Hammad Mustafa said that the prophet is an exalted being whom Allah Almighty informs from the unseen. This is the knowledge that cannot be captured by the five senses and only Allah Almighty alone gives this knowledge to His prophets. He said that Allah Almighty conferred the attribute of prophethood on Hazrat Adam (Alayhis-salam), Hazrat Nuh (Alayhis-salam) and Hazrat Musa (Alayhis-salam) but the attribute, and grace of prophethood that He conferred on the Holy Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him and his family) was not given to earlier prophets.
Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani al-Qadri stated that a prophet is a mediator who enables man to find the truth. He said whosoever wants to be near to Allah Almighty can do so through the path of His Last Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him and his family), for it is the sole blessing of Allah that has been distributed by the Holy Prophet (pbuh). He said that Allah Almighty combined all the miracles, blessings, graces and attributes of all prophets in the person of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) and placed him (pbuh) at the exalted station of the most perfect and the last prophet of Allah.
Shaykh Ahmad Mustafa al-Arabi al-Qadri, the grandson of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, presided over the Conference. Hafiz Umair Waqas Minhajian conducted the proceedings of the event that began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Muhammad Ibrahim Shaykh and Shaykh Mustafa Al-Zavi. Muhammad Javed Chaudhry and Abdullah Sheikh recited Naat in the court of the Holy Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him and his family).
