Addressing a seminar on the topic of "Tajdid e Ahd e Wafa" (Renewal of the pledge of loyalty) held under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Karachi, MQI Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur has said that all all the resources and policy attention will have to be concentrated on the provision of meaningful education to make Pakistan peaceful and prosperous. He said that MQI, under the inspirational leadership of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, is using all the available resources to fulfill the requirements of this great national and religious duty. He said that hundreds of thousands of students are benefiting from the education at the educational institutions operating under the ages of Minhaj-ul-Quran.
Central President Pakistan Awami Tehreek Qazi Zahid Hussain, President Karachi Naeem Ansari, Nazim Karachi Mirza Junaid Ali, Masood Usmani, and Khwaja Aamar also spoke on the occasion. Farooq Sheikh conducted the proceedings of the seminar which was attended by the office-holders of councils, units, towns, unions and zones of Karachi. Qazi Zahid Hussain welcomed Khurram Nawaz Gandapur to Karachi.
MQI Secretary General, while continuing his talk, said that Minhaj-ul-Quran International is a worldwide movement working for the promotion of Islam, the protection of correct beliefs and the education and training of the current and succeeding generations. He said that all and sundry are appreciative of the role that Minhaj-ul-Quran International has played in stemming the tide of extremism and promoting peace and harmony in the world in a span of the four decades. He said that the movement of peace, justice and dialogue that Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri founded 40 years ago has now blossomed into an international network with Islamic and cultural centres, serving as a source of peace and enlightenment across the world. He said that educational and training role of MQI is increasing by the day.
Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that Nizam-ul-Madaris Pakistan got the status of a Board recently and in a span of weeks and months, more than 1400 religious seminaries have got themselves registered with Nizam-ul-Madaris Pakistan. He said that it will be sole and exclusive honour of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri that he revised the the curriculum of religious seminaries that has been taught for the last 300 years and made it compatible with the requirements of the contemporary times. He said with these path-breaking changes in the curriculum of religious seminaries, new milestones will be achieved in terms of the educational standard and prestige of Madaris. He said that it is for the first time that Nizam-ul-Madaris Pakistan has held modern educational trainings for the teachers.
Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that Nizam-ul-Madaris Pakistan is going to hold the examinations from the 22nd of February at a mass scale. He said that these examinations will be held according to the prevalent standards, adding that the confidence and trust of the students getting religious education is increasing in Nizam-ul-Madaris Pakistan, which is a matter of great honour and a source of encouragement for us.
MQI Secretary General told the participants of the seminar that Minhaj-ul-Quran Foundation is going to set up an Orphan City of international standards in Lahore. He said that Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri will give a detailed talk on this mega project soon.
Mentioning the the educational services of MQI, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that College of Sharia and Islamic Sciences, Minhaj Education Society, Minhaj College for Women, Tehfeez-ul-Quran Institute, Aghosh Grammar School, Laurel Home Schools and Minhaj University Lahore are rendering amazing services for the promotion of knowledge in the country. He said that these educational institutions are being duly acknowledged by the people for their excellent education and emphasis on moral and spiritual training.
