Use of social media for Fahm-e-Deen project

The learning of knowledge is obligatory on every Muslim. Given the multiple engagements that vie for time, it has become very difficult for people to spare time for knowledge. Plus, social media has emerged as a medium for the dissemination of information and knowledge. It is also a fact that a lot of misleading material is also circulating on social media platforms with the result that the young generation is increasingly getting confused and being misled about many things.

In these circumstances, Minhaj-ul-Quran International has formally launched a Fahm-e-Deen project via social media to propagate correct understanding of the religious teachings.

Fahm e Deen Project

What is the Fahm-e-Deen project?

Fahm-e-Deen project is an endeavour to promote Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri's message of peace, love and interfaith harmony globally with the help of social media.

The objectives of Fahm-e-Deen

1. The promotion of Islamic teachings
2. The eradication of extremism and conservatism found in society
3. The revival of the moral, spiritual and religious values in society
4. The inclusion of like-minded people in the task of preaching & Dawah
5. The encouragement of positive use of social media among the youth

The course of action

MQI leaders, associates, and workers from the central level to that of the unit are being registered under this project. They will create their WhatsApp broadcast lists and convey the Islamic teachings to their circles. You can also become part of this noble task. Please get yourself registered by clicking the following link login.minhaj.org to become part of this Dawah project through the use of social media.

Mustafavi workers

Mustafavi workers are those people who regularly send the video clips/messages through their WhatsApp broadcasts. These clips are released centrally under the Fahm-e-Deen project.

The broadcast list of Mustafavi worker

For a Mustafavi worker, it is important to get consent of the people including friends, relatives and others before making them part of the broadcast list. This consent can be obtained through a phone-call, a text message or an in-person meeting.

The request should go as follows: "Can I send you the clips of the speeches of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri for the promotion of Islamic teachings?"

In case of an explicit agreement, a worker should save his/her number and make it part of the broadcast list.

Responsibilities of Mustafavi worker

It is the responsibility of Mustafavi workers to send the video clips received from the MQI secretariat to his/her broadcast list regularly. It is also important to get feedback from the people that are part of the list. After a few months, those people should be invited to become part of the dawah work and those who give their consent should be guided to register themselves.
