Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri delivered an inspiring speech at the Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) Conference in Gunma, Japan, stating that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was renowned for his honesty and trustworthiness even before being granted prophethood. He said that both friends and foes recognized his truthfulness and integrity. He said success is achieved through honesty and continuous hard work. The Prophet (PBUH) is a role model for all of humanity. He brought ethical teachings to the violent Arab society of the time, transforming people who were once engaged in bloodshed into saviors of life through his education and upbringing. Following the Seerah (life and character) of the Prophet (PBUH) is the key to success in both worlds, he explained.
Upon Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri's arrival at the conference, participants showered flowers and gave him a rousing welcome. The conference hall was decorated with welcoming banners, and there was a large turnout of youth. The historic Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) Conference in Japan was also attended by Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Shaykh Hammad Mustafa, Shaykh Ahmad al-Arabi, Mian Ali Imran, Malik Mumtaz, Rana Nafees Hussain Qadri, Muaz Ejaz, Dr. Abdul Rehman Siddiqi, Professor Saleem Rehman, Abdul Quddus Bhatti, Mehar Muhammad Akram, Dr. Mansoor Mian, and Muhammad Azeem Mirza, among others.
In his address, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri advised the youth to adopt an Islamic way of life, dedicate their time to learning knowledge and skills, and cultivate a habit of reading despite their busy schedules. He emphasized that they should not neglect their religious duties, and their faces and actions should reflect the Seerah of the Prophet (PBUH). He urged them to purify their speech, inner self, and outward appearance, as a pure mind leads to illuminated eyes and a radiant face. Especially for the youth, he stressed the importance of adopting a path of purity and righteous actions.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri also encouraged the youth to move beyond isolation and adopt a collective spirit by making decisions with mutual consultation, following the Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH). He further stated that one should ask only from Allah, as seeking from others indicates a lack of belief in Allah. He added that a person who cannot ask from Allah directly cannot bring others closer to Him either. Surrounding oneself with pious company brings refinement, and regular prayer connects a person with Allah.
The conference witnessed a large number of participants, including Pakistani expatriates living in Japan and citizens from other Muslim countries. President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Japan, Malik Mumtaz, expressed his gratitude to Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri for his inspiring address. He remarked that Shaykh-ul-Islam’s heartwarming speech served as a refresher course for them, and they would continue to feel the sweetness of this impactful message for a long time. He pledged to try their best to live according to the commandments of Allah and His Messenger (PBUH).
Shaykh-ul-Islam congratulated Minhaj-ul-Quran Japan on the successful and extraordinary organization of the Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) Conference and advised them to hold as many Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) gatherings as possible during the blessed month of Rabi' al-Awwal to celebrate and reflect upon the Prophet's (PBUH) life and teachings.
