Hundreds of thousands of men and women enthusiastically participated in the 41st International Mawlid Conference organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran International at Minar-e-Pakistan, celebrating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Addressing the conference, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the founder and patron-in-chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, stated that the Prophet (PBUH) was sent with the light of knowledge. He (PBUH) is the teacher of all humanity, and every moment of his blessed life was spent inviting people toward knowledge, piety and action. The message of this blessed night is that the Ummah should focus its efforts on acquiring purposeful knowledge. Knowledge prevents extremism and narrow-mindedness. It brings about open-mindedness, softness, and eloquence in one's character. Any knowledge that leads to declaring others as disbelievers is incomplete. Knowledge becomes beneficial through piety and purity, Dr Qadri stated.
Shaykh-ul-Islam congratulated and thanked the Kuwaiti Sheikh Abdullah Najeeb Salem, Egyptian Dr. Abdul Fattah Abdul Ghani Al-Awari, and the world-renowned reciters from Iran for coming to Pakistan on the special invitation of Minhaj-ul-Quran. Chairman of Minhaj-ul-Quran’s Supreme Council, Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, and Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri welcomed the foreign guests and the thousands of participants who gathered at Minar-e-Pakistan.
