Minhaj-ul-Quran played a practical role for unity of the Ummah and sectarian harmony: Message on the Foundation Day
In his message on the 44th foundation day of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, its founder and patron-in-chief Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has expressed gratitude, saying that the mission, initiated 44 years ago to return to the Quran and kindle the light of love for the Prophet (PBUH) in the hearts of the youth, has been blessed with steadfastness and perseverance by Allah. Today, the sun of this mission shines across the world. Alhamdulillah, through the platform of Minhaj-ul-Quran, the Ummah has been provided with over 700 books and thousands of lectures on the Quranic sciences, Hadith, the Seerah of the Prophet (PBUH), the virtues of the Ahl al-Bayt, the respect of the Companions (RA), beliefs, jurisprudence, knowledge, peace, and reformation. He said that millions of people in Pakistan and around the world are benefiting from this wealth of knowledge, and the flame continues to spread.
Shaykh-ul-Islam stated that Minhaj-ul-Quran has always played a practical role in promoting the unity of the Ummah, interfaith harmony, and sectarian cohesion. The organization has intellectually countered the negative ideologies that promote extremism, terrorism, hatred, and violence in the name of Islam, he said.
Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri further highlighted that over the past 44 years, Minhaj-ul-Quran has established hundreds of schools, colleges, and higher educational institutions in Pakistan, where over 150,000 students from middle-class families are receiving an education. He concluded with a prayer, asking Allah to protect Pakistan and its people and to increase their capacity to serve religion, the nation, and the country.
