Addressing thousands of worshippers in I'tikaf City during the sixth session, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri delivered an insightful speech on the topic "Meeting a Few Mystics in the Desert of Love."
He stated that true Sufism is all about moral excellence. He said that Minhaj-ul-Quran is a movement dedicated to the promotion of knowledge and awareness. It does not engage in piri-muridi (spiritual discipleship) nor does it entertain any superficial practices in the name of Sufism. He said that MQI has revived the dying culture of knowledge. Many attempts were made to suppress and dismantle this movement, but by the blessings of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) sacred sandals, Minhaj-ul-Quran has not only survived but has also expanded from Pakistan to the entire world.
"Despite all resistance, we carved our paths through oceans, confronted mountains, and yet preserved our identity and existence. This century belongs to Minhaj-ul-Quran," he told the residents of Itikaf City.
Shaykh-ul-Islam further stated that true lovers of Allah are those whose hearts detach from the material world and connect with their Lord. Their morals become purified and refined. He said that MQI members should focus entirely on improving their character, and the best place to begin this transformation is their own home. The better one's behavior towards family members, relatives, and loved ones, the more goodness society will experience.
Advising the youth, Dr. Qadri said that one who falls in love with Allah remains content with His will and spends their life striving in His love. Such a person, he said, becomes an embodiment of truth, distancing themselves from falsehood, deceit, fraud, and dishonesty.
They do not disobey Allah in their actions, dealings, and conduct. They prioritize the Hereafter over worldly gains and remain ever-ready to serve goodness and righteousness, he explained.
