Organizational Structure of Awami Lawyers Forum Gujranwala Completed

A prestigious ceremony was held to mark the completion of the organizational structure of the Awami Lawyers Forum Gujranwala, with a large number of lawyers in attendance, including prominent senior and young legal professionals. The event was presided over by Naeem-ud-Din Chaudhry Advocate, Central President of the Awami Lawyers Forum and a candidate for Punjab Bar Council membership from Lahore. The special guest was Asif Sillharia Advocate, President of Awami Lawyers Forum Central Punjab.

During the event, Abdul Jabbar Kashmiri Advocate was appointed Chairman of the Awami Lawyers Forum Gujranwala. Other key appointments included Mian Abid Rafiq Advocate as President, Syed Khubaib Hassan Bukhari Advocate as Secretary, Hafiza Khadija Al-Kubra Advocate as Vice President, Talha Tahir Advocate as Senior Vice President, Farhan Ahmad Khokhar Advocate as Finance Secretary, Ata-ul-Mustafa Advocate as Information Secretary, Ali Akbar Advocate as Joint Secretary, and Hassan Tahir Advocate as Vice President.

In his address, Naeem-ud-Din Chaudhry Advocate highlighted the current organizational framework of the forum and stressed the importance of structured organization for guiding and mentoring young lawyers and providing them with professional opportunities. He elaborated on the relationship between the judiciary and lawyers, the supremacy of law, and the essential role lawyers play in the justice system, stating, "Strong lawyers are the guarantee of a strong judicial system."

He further emphasized that the Awami Lawyers Forum is committed to solving the problems faced by lawyers and is actively working for their professional growth. “We stand firm for the supremacy of the Constitution and law at all fronts and want to see lawyers united under an organized platform to ensure effective protection of their rights,” he said. He also urged the legal community to move forward with unity, wisdom, and awareness, and to rise above political or personal affiliations, giving priority only to law, justice, and the welfare of lawyers.
Asif Sillharia Advocate, in his address, stated that unity among lawyers under one platform is the need of the hour. He asserted that the Awami Lawyers Forum is the true representative voice of the legal community, advocating for their rights and prioritizing the guidance and development of young lawyers. He stressed that the aim of organizational structuring is not just the distribution of positions but the proper channeling of the legal community's strength in the right direction.

At the end of the ceremony, several resolutions were unanimously passed. These included demands for the welfare of lawyers, support for junior lawyers, and the provision of equal opportunities for female lawyers.

The ceremony was also attended by Imran Ali Advocate, Vice President of the Tax Bar Association Gujranwala, and Mehr Shafqat Ali Qadri, President of Pakistan Awami Tehreek Gujranwala.
