"When we become grateful, Allah will increase His blessings upon us," says Dr. Hassan Qadri in a discussion.
Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, expressed his views during a special intellectual session on Surah Al-Qasas from the Quran. He stated that when a nation sinks into arrogance and ingratitude, destruction becomes its fate. Allah, in His glory, has destroyed those nations and settlements that were ungrateful instead of being thankful. This is not just a historical incident but also a reflection of the present-day situation. Today, the root of social decay, domestic unrest, economic crises, and destruction lies in ingratitude.
In his address, Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri emphasized that we often blame others for our failures and problems, attributing business closures to the evil eye or black magic. However, we are unwilling to acknowledge that the real cause of our failures is ourselves. The true magic lies in arrogance, ingratitude, indifference, and belittling others—poisons that have seeped deep into our veins. He said that due to arrogance and ingratitude, the blessings from our businesses, lives, and homes have diminished.
Dr. Hassan emphasized that gratitude is the magical solution that can transform our lives. If we sincerely acknowledge Allah's blessings and thank Him, we will be granted peace and contentment. We should always genuinely recognize that the qualities we possess are not because we deserve them, but because Allah has bestowed them upon us. Allah has granted us sight to witness the beauty of the world, and He has gifted us the five senses that allow us to distinguish between good and bad. There are people among us who are deprived of sight, hands, and legs. Looking at them should inspire us to thank Allah for not depriving us of these blessings.
He said when we become grateful servants, Allah will increase His blessings upon us. He further emphasized that when humility awakens in our hearts, the doors of Allah's mercy automatically open. The decline in children, relationships, domestic life, and the economy will not be repaired by charms or amulets but by becoming grateful servants of Allah.
