Minhaj-ul-Quran International was invited to attend a round table meeting conducted by the think-tanks VIIMES (Vienna International Institute for Middle East Studies) and SIIS (Shanghai Institutes for International Studies). VIIMES, founded in Vienna, brings former ministers and senior UN officials to closed-door forums and advising on regional peace in the Middle East. SIIS, consistently ranked among the world’s top think tanks, serves as a principal foreign-policy adviser to China and anchors global networks such as the G20.
Representing Minhaj-ul-Quran International Europe, Umar Mirza (Deputy Director Minhaj Public relations Europe) shed light on Minhaj-ul-Quran’s worldwide network and work for social harmony. He also highlighted Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri’s impact on Islamic economics and philanthropy, including flagship programmes at Minhaj University Lahore. He emphasized on the crucial role faith-based NGOs play in providing grass-roots resilience during this time and age of political turmoil.
