Director of Operations at Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF), Sanaullah Khan, has stated that the objective of the Qurbani (sacrifice) campaign is to deliver meat to deserving, impoverished individuals, widows, orphans, and the needy with dignity and respect. Arrangements have been finalized to distribute sacrificial meat to 10,000 deserving families from the central slaughterhouse established in Lahore.
He added that Minhaj Welfare Foundation’s Qurbani campaign is not limited to Pakistan but also runs internationally, benefiting hundreds of thousands of people each year. The campaign is based on three core principles: transparency, convenience, and preservation of human dignity.
Sanaullah Khan explained that the sacrificial animals are slaughtered in accordance with Islamic guidelines, under expert supervision, and using modern facilities. Thousands of small and large animals will be sacrificed over the three days of Eid al-Adha under MWF's arrangements. More than 30 administrative committees have been formed to manage the campaign effectively.
He further informed that MWF has set the following prices for the Qurbani shares:
- Cow share: PKR 29,000
- Sheep: PKR 43,000
- Goat: PKR 48,000
Over 50% of the shares have already been registered. A modern slaughterhouse has been selected for the central Qurbani site, ensuring compliance with hygiene and Islamic guidelines. The meat will be preserved using dry ice, which helps keep it cool and fresh for an extended period, and will be distributed to both registered participants and needy individuals accordingly.
