The founder and patron-in-chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran Movement, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, congratulated the millions of Hajj pilgrims who had the honor of performing the sacred duty of Hajj. He stated that Hajj is a spiritual journey that connects a person with their Creator.
He said that Hajj is not merely a physical exertion but a manifestation of purity of the heart and mind, correct intention, and humility. Millions of Muslims from all over the world, dressed in the same attire, raise the call of "Labbaik" and bow down in prostration. Hajj is a means to promote Islamic brotherhood and unity.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri further emphasized that today, it is imperative for us to understand and adopt the message of Hajj in our lives. We must demolish all idols of sectarianism, prejudice, hatred, and division. He said that performing Hajj is a great blessing. One who performs Hajj is cleansed from sins, just like a newborn child, and Allah Almighty accepts every prayer of the one who performs Hajj with sincerity. The pilgrims should pray for the unity, peace, and prosperity of the Muslim Ummah.
In his message, he said that Hajj is one of the fundamental pillars of Islam, which reflects unity, togetherness, and harmony. Hajj is a magnificent manifestation of human equality. During the rites of Hajj, there is no distinction between white or black, rich or poor, young or old. All stand humbly and submissively before Allah, seeking His mercy. This same mindset, thought, and attitude should be evident in every aspect of our practical lives, he said.
