Hazrat Usman (RA)'s Blessed Life is a Practical Reflection of the Qur’an & Sunnah – Minhaj Ulama Council

Under the auspices of Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council, a scholarly and supplicatory gathering was held at the central secretariat in Model Town on the occasion of the martyrdom day of Islam’s third Caliph, son-in-law of the Prophet ﷺ, compiler of the Qur’an, and bearer of the title Dhul-Nurayn, Hazrat Usman bin Affan (RA). The event was attended by religious scholars and notable Islamic personalities who paid rich tribute to the unparalleled services of Hazrat Uthman Ghani (RA) for Islam.

In his address, President of the Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council, Mufti Ghulam Asghar Siddiqui, stated that Hazrat Uthman Ghani (RA) prioritized Islamic Shariah during his rule and consistently strived to implement the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah in every sphere of life. He remarked that the blessed life of Hazrat Usman Ghani (RA) is a living embodiment of the Qur’an and Sunnah. His generosity, modesty, patience, and piety are an everlasting source of guidance for the Muslim Ummah. He reminded the audience of his contributions such as financing the army during the Battle of Tabuk, purchasing a well in Madinah and dedicating it for public use, and unifying the Ummah on a single compiled version of the Qur’an — all of which are unforgettable services.

Speaking on the occasion, Allama Ashfaq Ali Chishti, Secretary-General of Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council, highlighted that Hazrat Usman Ghani (RA) accepted every sacrifice for the sake of Islam and the pleasure of Allah. He was always ready to help the distressed and was a personification of worship, modesty, purity, patience, gratitude, contentment, and dignity. He spent his entire life in the service of Islam, love for the Prophet ﷺ, and helping humanity. Allama Ashfaq noted that Hazrat Usman Ghani (RA) was soft-hearted and extremely generous — whenever Muslims needed financial help, he spent from his wealth for their needs.

He further said that Hazrat Usman Ghani’s (RA) 12-year caliphate was marked by remarkable reforms and defensive campaigns. He was the only blessed personality married to two daughters of the Prophet ﷺ, which is why he is known as Dhul-Nurayn (Bearer of Two Lights).

He also praised Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri’s book “Rawd al-Jinan fi Manaqib Usman bin Affan (RA)” as a great gift for the scholarly community. Hazrat Usman Ghani (RA), through his noble qualities, remains a guide and role model for the Ummah. Every aspect of his life is an exemplary model for Muslims.

The session was attended by prominent scholars including Mufti Muhammad Rafiq Qadri Randhawa, Allama Muhammad Khalil Hanafi, Allama Khalil Qadri, Allama Muhammad Aamir Nadeem, Allama Adnan Faisal Chishti, Allama Muhammad Younus Saeedi, and Allama Hakeem Muhammad Jameel, among others.
