Iqbal Hussain Bajwa Appointed President of Tehreek Minhaj-ul-Quran Lahore

Iqbal Hussain Bajwa has been appointed as the President of MQI Lahore, while Nazim Ali Rehmat has been appointed as the General Secretary (Nazim) of the Lahore chapter. The notification of their appointments has been officially issued.

Professor Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, congratulated the newly appointed officials and expressed hope that they would advance the intellectual, organizational, and training goals of the movement with renewed vigor.

Meanwhile, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur (Secretary General of Minhaj-ul-Quran), Engineer Muhammad Rafiq Najam (Deputy Secretary General - Organizations), Allama Rana Muhammad Idrees, and Noorullah Siddiqui (Deputy Secretary Generals) also extended their congratulations. They remarked that the Lahore chapter holds the status of a backbone in the organizational history of Minhaj-ul-Quran, and the election of the new president and general secretary would infuse fresh momentum into its organizational activities.

The leaders termed the appointments of Iqbal Hussain Bajwa and Nazim Ali Rehmat as a positive step for the Lahore chapter and prayed for their success in fulfilling their responsibilities with excellence.

In his remarks, newly appointed President Iqbal Hussain Bajwa expressed gratitude to Allah Almighty and to the leadership for placing their trust in him. He pledged to fulfill this responsibility with honesty and sincerity. He stated that he would dedicate all his efforts to spreading the vision, mission, and thought of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri to every household and individual.

He thanked the central leadership, noting that this role is not just a position but a significant responsibility that he intends to fulfill with sincerity, consultation, and intellectual clarity.

Nazim Ali Rehmat, the newly appointed General Secretary of Lahore, also thanked the leadership, stating that serving Minhaj-ul-Quran—a scholarly, spiritual, and reformative movement—is a great honor for him. He vowed to make the Lahore chapter more active and well-connected in line with modern needs so that the message of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri can effectively reach every individual.
