Nishan e Isar Award to 70 Volunteers by Minhaj Welfare Foundation

Minhaj Welfare Foundation Pakistan organized a prestigious ceremony to honor volunteers committed to humanitarian service. The purpose of the event was to pay tribute to individuals who have selflessly contributed to the welfare and betterment of society.

In this ceremony, 70 volunteers were awarded the “Nishan-e-Isaar” shields, medals, and certificates in recognition of their outstanding contributions in areas such as education, healthcare, disaster relief, environmental protection, and human rights.

The event in Gujrat was presided over by Mehar Muhammad Arshad, District Patron of Minhaj-ul-Quran Gujrat. Engr. Muhammad Rafiq Najam, Deputy Secretary-General (Organizations) of Minhaj-ul-Quran, and Ishtiaq Hanif Mughal, Deputy Director of Minhaj Welfare Foundation, were the chief guests. Notable attendees included Munir Gondal, President of the District Bar Council Gujrat, and Haji Abdul Rehman, Executive Member of the Chamber of Commerce, along with other prominent figures from various sectors, social workers, and community members.

In his speech, Engr. Muhammad Rafiq Najam highlighted the global humanitarian efforts of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, emphasizing how he has spread the message of peace, love, and interfaith harmony across the world. He said that through educational, healthcare, and welfare initiatives—especially during natural disasters—Dr. Qadri has positively impacted millions of lives. He added, “These volunteers are the true asset of our society, serving humanity without seeking any personal gain.”

Ishtiaq Hanif Mughal, Deputy Director of Minhaj Welfare Foundation, stated, “Alhamdulillah, Minhaj Welfare Foundation is providing welfare services across all sectors of life without discrimination. These achievements would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of our volunteers and the selfless support of generous donors. Today’s ceremony sends a message to every individual who dreams of spreading goodness in society.” He also acknowledged the decades-long dedicated services of Haji Muhammad Akram and his team.

Several leaders and volunteers—including Shahid Rizwan, Zahid Saleem Al-Hussaini, Malik Tanveer, and Sajjad Hussain—were honored with awards. Special recognition was also given to volunteers who served "fee sabilillah" (for the sake of Allah) in projects like mass weddings, subsidized food services, ambulance services, dispensaries, and educational initiatives.

Members of the Management Board for Mass Weddings, media representatives, and members of the business community were also appreciated for their social contributions.

During the event, several volunteers shared their personal experiences, highlighting both the challenges and the inspiring moments they faced while serving humanity.

The event concluded with a prayer led by Syed Haroon Shah Bukhari, who also paid tribute to the dedication and services of the volunteers.
