I pray for the Betterment of the Nation and the People: Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri

“I don’t read the news, nor do I try to find out what’s happening — my focus is entirely on writing and research.”
“My retirement from politics is lifelong; I have already played my part,” Shaykh-ul-Islam

The founder and patron-in-chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, in an informal conversation with Pakistani journalists in Canada, said that he constantly prays for the improvement of Pakistan’s situation and the well-being of its people. He reiterated that his retirement from politics is permanent, adding, “I have done my part in politics.”

Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri said he has no interest in political news, nor does he make any effort to follow it, as his time is fully occupied. “My complete focus,” he said, “is on writing, research, and scholarly work. I continue to write on educational, intellectual, and jurisprudential issues, while recordings and clips from my various lectures are regularly posted on my social media accounts.”

He further said that Muslims live in every country of the world, and his ongoing mission is to provide translations of the Qur’an and Sunnah in the languages of every nation.

“Translations of my books are being produced in multiple languages, and my focus remains solely on this work,” he added.

Dr. Qadri remarked that narrow-mindedness, intolerance, and extremism are among the greatest challenges of our time, and the Ummah must free itself from these evils as soon as possible. He emphasized that education must be the foremost priority, saying, “I firmly believe that any investment made in education will never go to waste.”
