President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Professor Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, attended as a special guest and addressed the dignified mass wedding ceremony organized by Minhaj Welfare Foundation, Tehsil Paharpur.
While addressing the ceremony, Professor Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that justice and fairness are the foundations of any society’s success and stability. Human nature inherently seeks justice because Allah Almighty has embedded the colours of justice and equality within human disposition. The economic system of Islam is also based on a fair and just distribution. Equality means that every individual is provided rights and facilities according to their needs. This very principle guarantees the progress of nations, provinces, and societies — even charity should be distributed according to this principle.
He said that during the eras of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, every model of distribution was based on the needs of the time and was rooted in absolute justice. In the era of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (RA), the needy were given preference, while in the era of Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA), distribution was made on the basis of merit and capability. Although the approaches differed, the objective remained the same: delivering the right to its rightful claimant.
Professor Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri further stated that in Western thought, the primary objective of every activity is efficiency, whereas in Islam the central principle is equity — a just and fair distribution. True Islam is the one that fulfils the needs of the deprived and ensures that resources reach their rightful beneficiaries. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has guided the Ummah by fulfilling intellectual, doctrinal, educational, research, and social needs through the establishment of modern institutions.
He congratulated all the couples entering the sacred bond of marriage and distributed gifts with love and prayers.
The President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International congratulated the officials of Minhaj Welfare Foundation on the successful organization of the mass wedding ceremony, driven by the spirit of humanity and service to mankind.
