The Preacher, Teacher, and Da‘i Are Role Models of Society: Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri

Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri Meeting Nizamt e Dawat Team Lahore

A delegation of scholars from the Central Directorate of Dawah of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, led by Deputy Secretary General Allama Rana Muhammad Idrees Qadri, met with President Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Prof. Dr. Husain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri. During the discussion, Dr. Husain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that a preacher must be strong both in knowledge and character. Modern communication tools should be used effectively for social reform. A teacher, preacher, or da‘i is a role model in any society, and rigorous training of a da‘i is indispensable.

He stated that the preacher of today’s era must be strong not only in knowledge but also in character and communication. Without knowledge, preaching loses depth; without character, it loses impact; and without communication, the message does not reach its audience. He explained that the purpose of dawah is not merely preaching—it is to soften hearts, remove hatred, and shape society in the color of the love of the Holy Prophet ﷺ.

Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that today’s youth can be influenced through reasoning, understanding, and exemplary conduct. Modern media—such as social platforms, videos, and digital tools—should be used positively so that the message of religion may spread widely and in a contemporary style. Scholars and preachers, he emphasized, must understand the intellectual and psychological tendencies of the youth and present the religion in a manner they can relate to.

Dr. Husain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri further said that Tehreek Minhaj-ul-Quran is a movement that represents a beautiful blend of knowledge and character, aiming to bring intellectual awakening, purification of thought, and practical reform to society. He instructed the scholars of the Directorate of Dawah to highlight the moral and spiritual dimensions of Islam in their lectures, lessons, and writings so the new generation may become acquainted with the true spirit of the religion.

On this occasion, Central Nazim-e-Dawah Allama Jamil Ahmad Zahid, Qari Riyasat Ali Chadhar, and other scholars were also present.
