A delegation of Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF), led by Engineer Sanaullah Khan, Director Operations, Minhaj Welfare Foundation Pakistan, visited the headquarters of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in Islamabad, where the delegation met Chairman NDMA, Major General Inam Hayat.

During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on the timely, well-organized, and effective welfare and relief activities carried out by Minhaj Welfare Foundation in the affected areas during Super Flood 2025, which were highly appreciated by the NDMA.

On this occasion, NDMA Training Manager Waseem Malik gave the delegation a comprehensive briefing on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Disaster Risk Management (DRM). The briefing highlighted integrated mechanisms for pre-disaster preparedness, swift and effective response during disasters, and post-disaster recovery. The importance of institutional coordination and the effective use of modern technology was also discussed.

The delegation also undertook a detailed visit to the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC), where members were briefed on the national system for monitoring emergencies across the country, timely information sharing, and rapid response mechanisms.

Praising the professional capacity and administrative discipline of the NDMA, the delegation expressed its commitment to further strengthening mutual cooperation and coordination in order to effectively address natural disasters in the future.

Chairman NDMA Major General Inam Hayat commended the welfare services of Minhaj Welfare Foundation and stated that during natural disasters, civil society and welfare organizations play a vital role alongside state institutions. He noted that during Super Flood 2025, Minhaj Welfare Foundation rendered commendable services in the rehabilitation of affected communities, distribution of food rations, provision of medical assistance, and fulfillment of basic needs.

Speaking on the occasion, Engineer Sanaullah Khan, Director Operations, Minhaj Welfare Foundation Pakistan, said that all welfare and relief activities of Minhaj Welfare Foundation are a practical manifestation of the vision, guidance, and humanitarian philosophy of the Founder and Patron-in-Chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. He emphasized that Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri has always declared the service of humanity, without discrimination, as a foremost duty during disasters and crises. In line with this vision, Minhaj Welfare Foundation prioritizes prompt relief, rehabilitation, and the preservation of the dignity of affected individuals.

He further stated that during Super Flood 2025, Minhaj Welfare Foundation, working alongside state institutions, ensured the organized distribution of food rations, medical facilities, clean drinking water, and rehabilitation measures in the affected areas. Appreciating cooperation with the NDMA, Engineer Sanaullah Khan added that in the future as well, a joint strategy based on institutional collaboration, advance preparedness, and the use of modern technology would be further strengthened to ensure the protection of human lives and the timely delivery of relief.
