Allama Adnan Waheed Qasmi delivered a special lecture in the light of the Qur’an and Sunnah during the second session of the five-day Duroos-e-Irfan-ul-Qur’an organized by the Minhaj-ul-Quran Movement Muridke. He stated that religious knowledge is not merely the acquisition of information; rather, it is a means for the intellectual, moral, and spiritual development of a person. True transformation, he said, cannot occur until one understands the Holy Qur’an and makes it an integral part of one’s life.
Referring to the challenges of the modern era, including ideological confusion, social turmoil, and moral decline, he emphasized that the younger generation in particular needs sound religious guidance. He noted that in the age of social media and modern communication, misinformation and misleading ideologies spread rapidly. Therefore, seeking guidance from authentic scholars and engaging in a deep study of the Qur’an and Hadith is essential.
He further stressed that the blessed life and character of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) serve as a complete model for humanity. If individuals and societies shape their lives according to the teachings of the Prophet, he said, social injustices, unrest, and moral crises can be effectively addressed.
The session was attended by religious scholars, political and social figures, as well as a large number of men, women, and children from across the city.
