The Founder and Patron-in-Chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, in his statement regarding the Battle of Badr on the 17th of Ramadan, said that the Battle of Badr was a great and decisive event in Islamic history that clearly distinguished truth from falsehood. It was the historic day when the believers received special divine support from Allah, while the forces of falsehood suffered a crushing defeat.

He said that on the battlefield of Badr, arrogance, pride, and rebellion were defeated, while the power of faith, sincerity, and obedience to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prevailed. This battle established for all time that true success lies in complete obedience and loyalty to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and in unwavering trust in Allah Almighty.

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri stated that the noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them all) who participated in the Battle of Badr were ready to sacrifice their lives and wealth in obedience to the command of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Their steadfastness, sincerity, and spirit of faith made this battle a landmark event in Islamic history.

He said that the message of Badr is that any nation that remains steadfast upon the truth and places complete trust in Allah will find the doors of help and success opened for it.

Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri further stated that after the Battle of Badr, the State of Madinah achieved strength and stability both internally and externally. This historic victory raised the morale of the Muslims and gave them a clear psychological advantage over opposing forces. As a result of this victory, the Muslim community gained new strength and confidence in economic, military, and political spheres, enabling them to move forward with dignity toward the establishment of an organized and stable Islamic society.

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri concluded that the day of Badr is a reminder for the believers of success, determination, and the divine help of Allah.
