Actress Resham Attends Ceremony

Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF) organized a dignified mass wedding ceremony for 25 couples at a wedding hall in Lahore, where the brides and grooms, along with their families, were warmly welcomed by the central leadership of Minhaj-ul-Quran. Actress Resham attended the event as a special guest and congratulated the Foundation—established by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri—for arranging such a grand ceremony and providing generous gifts. She remarked that the weddings of underprivileged individuals were being celebrated with the same splendor as those of affluent families.
President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, congratulated the newlywed couples and offered prayers for their happiness. He stated that Allah Almighty greatly loves those who care for the less fortunate, emphasizing that it is the responsibility of every well-off individual to support the needy within their capacity.
Director Projects, Syed Amjad Ali Shah, in his opening remarks, shared that each couple was being given household items worth PKR 500,000 as a gift. He expressed gratitude to all donors, especially Dr. Abid Aziz, whose support made the initiative possible.
Addressing the ceremony, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Sheikh Ibrahim, and Ghulam Mohiuddin Diwan praised the spirit of public service demonstrated by Shaykh-ul-Islam and congratulated Minhaj Welfare Foundation on this noble effort.
A lavish meal was arranged for the families and guests accompanying the couples. The newlyweds were also presented with watches and cash gifts. Actress Resham, along with Ayesha Nazir Qadri, Durrah Al-Zahra, Firdous Nisar, and Roba Humayun, distributed gifts among the brides and bid them farewell with prayers and best wishes.
The wedding hall was beautifully decorated with colorful lights and festive banners. Notably, a Christian couple was also part of the ceremony, and their marriage was conducted in accordance with their religious traditions.
Special bridal rooms were set up where members of Minhaj Women League and professional beauticians prepared the brides. The event was hosted by Allama Shahid Yousufi and Suhail Ahmad Raza.
