Spiritual Legacy of Huzoor Tahir Alauddin Qadri Gilani Remembered

The monthly gathering of Khatm al-Salawat ‘ala al-Nabi ﷺ and the Urs Mubarak of Huzoor Qudwat-ul-Awliya Sayyiduna Tahir Alauddin al-Qadri al-Gillani al-Baghdadi (RA), organized by Bazm-e-Qadiriyya, was held at the central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. A large number of scholars, spiritual leaders, MQI leaders and workers, teachers, students, women, and children attended the ceremony.

Founder and Patron-in-Chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, shed light on the spiritual services, Sufism, spiritual wayfaring, and the true concept of sainthood demonstrated by Huzoor Qudwat-ul-Awliya (RA). He stated that Huzoor Qudwat-ul-Awliya (RA) was the true custodian of the spiritual legacy of Ghawth al-Azam Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani (RA). He devoted his entire life to promoting sincerity, piety, trust in Allah, service to humanity, and inner spiritual purification.

Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri said that Sufism is not merely the name of outward rituals; rather, it is the path of self-purification, steadfastness, and attaining the pleasure of Allah Almighty. He emphasized that the true greatness of the Awliya Allah lay in their piety, service to humanity, and strong connection with Allah Almighty.

He further remarked that the greatest miracle is steadfastness and maintaining a strong relationship with Allah. Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri described Huzoor Qudwat-ul-Awliya Sayyiduna Tahir Alauddin al-Qadri al-Gillani al-Baghdadi (RA) as the embodiment of humility, sincerity, selflessness, patience, piety, and complete trust in Allah Almighty.

Recalling his 27 years of companionship with Huzoor Qudwat-ul-Awliya (RA), Shaykh-ul-Islam said that he found him to possess the highest spiritual qualities and noble attributes.

During the ceremony, Muhammad Afzal Noshahi, Shakeel Ahmad Tahir, Zaheer Bilali and Brothers, Muhammad Hamza Noshahi, Muhammad Abu Bakr Qadri, Zaid Muhyuddin Qadri, and Bilal Muhyuddin Qadri presented naats and manqabats in praise of the Holy Prophet ﷺ and Ghawth al-Azam (RA), while Qari Khizr Zeeshan Naeemi had the honor of reciting the Holy Qur’an.

The proceedings were conducted by Noor-ul-Ain Saeedi and Allama Mudassir Rasool Noori.

Coordinator of Bazm-e-Qadiriyya, Shahzad Rasool Qadri, in his welcome address, stated that Minhaj-ul-Quran is a continuation of the global mission of Huzoor Qudwat-ul-Awliya Sayyiduna Tahir Alauddin al-Qadri al-Gillani al-Baghdadi (RA), and that serving the mission is the true success. He added that striving in companionship and membership opens the doors of spiritual blessings and grace.

Among those who attended the ceremony were Al-Hajj Abdul Ghafoor Qadri, Al-Hajj Muhammad Ilyas Qadri, Dr. Muhammad Rafiq Najm, Brigadier (R) Umar Hayat, Raja Zahid Mahmood, Jawad Hameed, Colonel (R) Khalid Javed, Haji Sheikh Muhammad Farooq, Haji Ahmad Sadiq, Professor Dr. Noor-ul-Zaman Noori, Allama Latif Madani, Haji Muhammad Ishaq, Iqbal Hussain Bajwa, Abid Bashir Qadri, Saeed Akhtar, Syed Mahmood-ul-Hasan Jafri, Haji Ghulam Fareed Aajiz, along with central leaders, office-bearers of all forums, and a large number of workers of Minhaj-ul-Quran.
