Including underprivileged communities in the joys of Eid is an Islamic duty
Sacrificial meat will be distributed to deserving families through Minhaj Welfare Foundation
Arrangements for sacrifice in accordance with Islamic principles to be completed at a modern slaughterhouse

Secretary-Generaessage of sacrifice, piety, sincerity, and love for humanity. Islam teaches us to include the underprivileged, needy, l of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, stated that Eid al-Adha conveys a profound mand marginalized members of society in our celebrations so that an atmosphere of brotherhood, compassion, and collective joy may flourish.
He expressed these views while addressing a meeting held at the central secretariat regarding the sacrificial campaign organized by Minhaj Welfare Foundation. The meeting reviewed in detail the arrangements for the campaign, welfare activities, and the responsibilities of various administrative committees.
Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that the true purpose of sacrifice is not merely the slaughtering of animals, but the attainment of the pleasure of Allah, piety, and sincerity. Sacrifice nurtures within a person the qualities of selflessness, obedience, devotion, and love for Allah Almighty. He added that the great sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) and Prophet Ismail teaches humanity the spirit of being willing to sacrifice even one’s most beloved possessions for the sake of Allah’s pleasure.
He further stated that the philosophy of sacrifice goes beyond display and ostentation; rather, it promotes servitude to God, sincerity, and spiritual purity. In the sight of Allah, the acceptance of a sacrifice is not determined by the price or size of the animal, but by one’s intention, sincerity, and piety. If the sacrifice is offered purely for the pleasure of Allah, it becomes a means of attaining closeness to Him and spiritual growth.
The Secretary-General said that, as in previous years, during the sacrificial campaign conducted under the banner of Minhaj Welfare Foundation, sacrificial meat will be distributed respectfully among deserving, needy, and underprivileged families so that they too may share in the joys of Eid.
He further explained that cows, goats, sheep, and rams will be sacrificed according to Islamic principles at the central sacrificial facility established in a modern slaughterhouse in Lahore. Special measures are also being taken regarding cleanliness, hygiene, and administrative management.
Khurram Nawaz Gandapur emphasized that sacrifice is not only a financial act of worship but also a practical manifestation of social equality, brotherhood, and humanitarian values. On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, we should prioritize the happiness and needs of others above our own so that love, compassion, and fraternity may be promoted throughout society.
