In this video, Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri delivered a speech at the United Nations Headquarters in Vienna on the occasion of World Interfaith Harmony Week. In his address, he presented the Constitution of Medina as an exemplary model for establishing interfaith harmony, equality, and justice in the modern world.
Dr. Hassan Qadri explained that the Constitution of Medina was a multi-religious social pact, in which all citizens were guaranteed equal rights regardless of their religion. He also highlighted that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ promoted the principles of human dignity, justice, and mutual respect. Furthermore, he stated that the Constitution of Medina still provides a practical and effective framework for guiding global peace, religious tolerance, and social harmony in today’s world.
