A ceremony was held at the MQI central secretariat to celebrate the 26th foundation day of the Mustafavi Students Movement (MSM). Addressing the ceremony, Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri congratulated president Irfan Yousaf and his whole team on this historic occasion. He said all the previous and current officeholders and the workers who helped MSM grow and expand into a strong student organization deserve to be lauded.
The host, Sister Atikah Parveen, then introduced and welcomed Alissa Wahid (Family Psychologist). Sister Alissa Wahid is the General Secretary of the Family Welfare Agency of the biggest Muslim organisation in Indonesia with around 80 million members across Indonesia. They are mandated to promote family welfare; the Indonesian government have asked her to lead an expert team to develop the Muslim Family Resilience Programme.
On Day 2 of Al-Tazkiya 2020, the midday session consisted of exclusive and interactive workshops with renown speakers including Sr Basimah Qadri, Sr Fahima Mahomed and Mindful Muslimah. Sr Basimah facilitated the workshop entitled ‘Studying and Productivity’. This workshop covered time management, dealing with procrastination and ways to balance studying with other commitments such as religious work.
Al-Tazkiya 2020 was concluded with an Exclusive Session and supplication by His Eminence Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, congratulating Minhaj Sisters on organising a successful al-Tazkiya and he went on to emphasise that al-Tazkiya is not just a mere annual event but in fact it’s a spiritual struggle against the evils that exist around us in the form of Satan, our lower self (ego) and the materialistic desires that try to detract us from the right path.
The final session of Al-Tazkiya 2020 began with the host Sister Sweba Majid Khan (Finance Secretary of Minhaj Sisters UK), introducing Sister Atiya Parveen for a beautiful recitation of the Holy Quran and a Nasheed. Dr Ghazala Hassan Qadri then began her final lecture for Al-Tazkiya. She highlighted our state of mental health being affected due to the reliance on social media.
Dr Ghazala Hassan Qadri stated that as Muslim women, we have been given a very unique and beautiful identity which has been bestowed upon us by Allah (SWT), through the Holy Prophet (pbuh). As Muslims we have an idea of right and wrong, yet despite this, we find it hard to remain steadfast, failing to practice our religion in a society that promotes multiculturalism and diversity.
Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League, Pakistan, held a special session for Al-Tarbiyah participants in which Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri's talk was shared on the topic "Traits of Leadership". This session was in the form of a close Zoom meeting exclusively for Al-Tarbiyah participants. Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri beautifully explained the key features that are an integral part of the personality and policy of any leader.
After a short break, the next session of Al-Tazakiya 2020 commenced with an exclusive Interview of Dr. Sanam Mustafa (Molecular Pharmacologist). This was hosted by Sister Fardos Shahid and Sister Hafsah Shakeel. Firstly, Dr Sanam spoke about how she balanced moving away from home with childcare and other responsibilities. She highlighted that her mother was one of her biggest inspirations who helped her through the tough times in her life.
It is finally here! Al-Tazkiya 2020 is back with the very first online event. Minhaj Sisters UK organizes Al-Tazkiya each year for developing and enhancing spirituality and faith among the participating sisters through the company of Dr. Ghazala Hassan Qadri. Due to the current COVID situation, Al-Tazkiya has been moved online where we have gone global with sisters registered from all over the world! Al-Tazkiya serves as a means to gain the nearness of Allah Almighty and the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and inculcates the feeling of sisterhood and helps in the spiritual uplift of the attendees.
President Minhaj Women League, Pakistan, Mrs. Farah Naz was invited as a guest speaker along with Senator Walid Iqbal, Qasim Ali Shah, MPA Ali Gillani, Mansoor Qazi, AIG CTD, Punjab Rai Tahir, and Provincial Youth Minister Punjab Taimoor Bhatti at "Provincial Iqbal Youth Convention" today. On this occasion, Mrs. Farah Naz presented a comprehensive plan of action to practically engage the youth towards peace promotion.
A special meeting took place at the central secretariat to review the targets of Vision 2025 with Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri in the chair. Addressing the participants, he said that MQI has become an active member of the digital world. He said that social media has practically transformed the world into a global village with the result that everyone has been integrated with the global communication network in ways more than one.
The social media department of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League (Pakistan) held a 3-week long training workshop for its social media team. The workshop comprised of bi-weekly sessions in which the participants were given training on the basic use of social media platforms. President MWL Pakistan Mrs. Farah Naz addressed the closing session held on Wednesday.
Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Karachi holds 'Sayyida Zaynab (sa) conference' which was attended by scholars, students and women from various towns of Karachi. Nazima MWL Karachi Mrs. Sana Naveed gave a welcome notes after which senior female scholar Ms. Nuzhat Abbas spoke on the sira of Sayyida Zaynab (sa) and said that "our only solace lies in following her footsteps".
Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Gujranwala held 'Sayyida Zaynab (sa) Conference' at the district level and also hosted a gathering to attend the Al-Tarbiyah Session with Dr Ghazala Hassan Qadri for all the workers and team members of MWL Gujranwala.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has said that the corrupt people are unacceptable in the non-Islamic societies, what to speak of an Islamic state. He said that the 63 years of the Holy Prophet's (pbuh) life is a reflection of truthfulness and trustworthiness. He said the first civilized, constitutional state of human history was the state of Medina in which the rights and obligations of the leadership and the voters had clearly been determined.
