Addressing a "Martyrdom of Imam Hussain (as) & Unity of Umma Conference" held under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that martyrdom of Imam Hussain (as) cannot be considered as the killing of a human being. Rather the purpose of martyring Imam Hussain (as) was to hurt the Holy Prophet (pbuh).
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said educated youths that are blessed with the strength of character, are the future of Pakistan. He said that protecting the youth from extremism and violent attitudes is the responsibility of all parties and religious scholars. He asked the youth to adopt the path of moderation and balance in the matters of life.

Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF) distributed Qurbani meat to thousands of Syrian and Palestinian refugees, and needy people across Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kashmir and Africa. The meat from the Qurbani was distributed among millions of people in these countries.
Syed Amjad Ali Shah, Director of Minhaj Welfare Foundation, has presented the report on collective sacrifice 2020 to MQI Supreme Council Chairman Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri. The report states that like the previous years, the technical services of the state-of-the-art slaughterhouse were hired to slaughter the animals. Hundreds of the trained volunteers were deputed to distribute the meat among the needy and deserving within the minimum possible time with the best quality control arrangements put in place.
